What does the PPL Ground School cover?

The Ground School covers the Theoretical Knowledge Instruction requirements for the purpose of obtaining your EASA PPL licence, and covers nine subjects:

  • Air Law
  • Communications
  • Human Performance and Limitations
  • Meteorology
  • Navigation
  • Flight Planning and Performance
  • Principles of Flight
  • Aircraft General Knowledge
  • Operational Procedures

The Ground School can be completed either before starting the flight training, or in parallel with it. There are requirements to finish some of the subjects before the first solo circuit flights, and again before the first solo cross-country navigation flight. Also, all subjects must be completed, and the corresponding theory examinations passed, before the final practical exam.

We offer Theoretical Knowledge Instruction, reviews, and workshops either online using one of the videoconferencing platforms, or in-person in the classroom.
